SIGMA’s operation in Asia started with the foundation of the company -

MAGMA Engineering Asia-Pacific Pte Ltd (www.magmasoft.com.sg) in Singapore in the year 1996. The prime objective in the early years was to build up a strong team with technical expertise in casting process optimization, followed by identifying qualified local partners that can represent SIGMA and MAGMA and our products in the diverse Asian markets.

Singapore, providing its business friendly environment, was the ideal choice to act as the communication hub, transferring casting optimization knowledge and offering various services to our customers to implement SIGMASOFT® and MAGMASOFT® successfully in Asia.


With the increased demands and success of SIGMA and MAGMA in Asia, and to offer local services in strategic locations, we have since opened a joint venture in Korea, a wholly owned subsidiary in China and a branch office in India which has been converted to a wholly owned subsidiary of MAGMA Giessereitechnologie GmbH in July 2019. MAGMA Engineering Asia Pacific now acts as the headquarter of MAGMA in Asia and is located at the German Centre in the International Business Park, Jurong area in Singapore.
